Cockatiels

Cockatiels are one of the Parrot species. They are lovely pets. Cockatiel lifespan is 15 – 20 years. The male Cockatiels are talking, whistling and singing ones. Cockatiels eat sunflower seeds and bird seeds. Salty foods are not good for Cockatiels. They also eat grass.

Here are some steps of how Cockatiels lay eggs

• Mating: If you want the Cockatiel to lay eggs you need a pair. After some days the Cockatiels do a Mating dance.
• Making the nest: The Cockatiels need a nest box to lay eggs. The male one makes the nest.
• laying eggs: Then the Cockatiels lay eggs. The female one sits on the eggs to keep them warm. The male guards the nest.
• The eggs hatch: When the eggs hatch, after some time the female must start giving them food. For this you must give the female soft food. If the female doesn’t start giving you can give them bird seeds, fruits or pellets.

How to get your Cockatiel to talk

If you you want to train your Cockatiel to talk follow these steps.

• First you should figure out a word your bird likes or try it’s name.
• Then every day repeat the word again and again. Make sure there is no disturbance. Also offer the bird a treat.
• Continue and be patient.
