Types of bird beaks:-
- Cracker beak – Cracker beak is used to crack nuts. Hawks have cracker beaks.
- Chisel beak – Chisel beak is used to catch insects. Woodpeckers have chisel beaks.
- Probing beak – Probing beak is used to suck nectar from flowers. Humming birds have probing beaks.
- Spear beak – Spear beak is used to catch fish. Kingfishers have spear beaks.
- Hooked beak – Hooked beak is used to catch rats and other small animals. Eagles have hooked beaks.
- Strainer beak – Strainer beak is also used to catch fish. Ducks have strainer beaks.
